So if you have been following along then you know I have been working diligently on a photo book now for about a year. It is almost release time and what better way to celebrate the release of my 156 page rodeo photo book than giving a copy away????????
I photograph a lot of rodeos, and started back in 2010 with a portrait lens, a low level DSLR and not much clue on how to really shoot action in poor, poor, so poor light.
Nearly a decade later and I can see the improvement from gear to style and ability. I don’t often like to reflect back on the old because I really was terrible but my how i have grown.
For the longest time as a photographer I didn’t utilize the instagram platform… However in recent years, though admittedly late to the party, I have begun using the platform… The past nine months I have been sharing a lot of my rodeo content, from when I first started to the end of my last season images.
So a few weeks ago I made available a free ebook which I hope you all have grabbed!…I have been hard at work on my physical book- Moments of Rodeo is set to be made available for purchase in June of this year! (Excitement, clapping, bouncing, and much dancing!) If you follow me on instagram chances are you have seen a lot of my rodeo photography work, as I have been very active on sharing it with the instastratosphere and as much as I love the digital world nothing beats holding a print in my hand.
As a childly earliest memory is laying on my grandparents living room floor with orange shag carpet, is to late evening the tv plays cartoons as my parents and grandparents sit around the shiny wood dining room table cards in their hands, drinks to the side and the smell of my paps cigar smoke in the air.
