The Dandelion was photographed from above, a simple overhead view of a flower most would call a weed. There was no dramatic landscape, no golden hour light. Just a quiet yard, a whisper of wind, and this small, radiant geometry—perfect in its symmetry, ephemeral in its purpose.
Shot in black and white, the image strips away distraction. What’s left is form. Texture. Light dancing through softness. A structure so delicate, it almost dissolves under your gaze. And yet, it holds. Defiant and beautiful.
As children, we made wishes on dandelions, trusting that breath and belief could carry something into the world. That feeling still lingers. The dandelion remains a symbol—not just of fleeting time, but of quiet hope.
I didn’t expect to photograph it that day. But I noticed it—really noticed it—and knew the camera had something to say. From this angle, the dandelion becomes something else entirely. Not just a weed. Not even a flower. A universe of seeds waiting to let go.
