A Rare Wedding Day Behind the Lens

It’s not often that I step away from the barn and into the world of weddings. As an equine photographer, my usual subjects are four-legged, hay-loving, and prone to sticking their noses in my lens. But every so often, the right opportunity comes along—and I say yes.

This past Friday, September 5th, was one of those rare days. I had the honor of photographing a small, intimate wedding set between Bethesda, Ohio and Jerusalem, Ohio. Tucked into the quiet countryside, the day was simple and heartfelt—full of genuine emotion, warm connections, and that golden late-summer light we photographers dream about.

From the quiet moments of getting ready, to the vows exchanged in front of just a few close family and friends, it was clear that this day was about love in its purest form. No big production, no rush—just two people committing their lives to one another in a place that means something to them.

The scenery was stunning, the couple was radiant, and I came away with a memory card packed full of beautiful images that I can’t wait to share.

For now, here’s a small preview—a few early favorites pulled straight from the camera to hold you over. I’ll be working through the edits in the coming weeks, and once the full gallery is complete, I’ll make it available for public viewing.

Thank you to the couple for trusting me with such a meaningful day, and for letting me step outside my usual lane to capture something a little different—and incredibly special.

Stay tuned. There’s much more to come.
